Writers, Artists, Photographers, Musicians & Filmmakers Wanted

Upstart multimedia and apparel company, Teruo Artistry is looking for writers, artists and photographers to contribute to our new digital magazine, Life In Stereo.

Teruo Artistry was founded on the celebration of creativity in all forms; Life In Stereo is designed to do the same. Every month we will compile a collection of visual and written art designed to provoke thought, awe, and inspiration. We are currently holding an open call for submissions. We are looking for both occasional and regular contributors to the publication.

Each month’s theme is open to your interpretation:

December Theme: "Frost." Deadline 12/8/08

January Theme: “Resolutions.” Deadline 1/8/09

TO SUBMIT:
For your submission to be considered, please follow the following guidelines specifically:

  1. Save your work as a file (word for written, jpeg for photos, mp3 for audio, link for video) named as: YourName_TitleOfWork.doc/jpg
  2. Include the month and theme in the subject of an email: October - Changes
  3. Attach the file to your email
  4. Send to lifeinstereo@teruo.com

Life In Stereo will be released on the 15th of each month via our website and will be distributed digitally to our contacts, customers and fans.

Writers

Monthly writing submissions should be 100-400 words on any of the following topics:

    * Music/music industry
    * Art
    * Entertainment/pop culture
    * Film/TV
    * Fashion trends
    * Politics
    * New technology
    * General rants
    * Poetry
    * Songs

We are looking for fresh voices with strong opinions and a gift for words. 

Photographers/Artists 

One or two photographs/ art per month depicting anything compelling and creative (You will keep all rights to your work). You will receive full credit/byline.

Musicians

Monthly audio submissions should be no longer than 4 minutes long and can be instrumentals, acapellas or full songs. (You will keep all rights to your work).

Filmmakers

Monthly video submissions can be any length. Please upload to a service such as YouTube.com and send us the link. (Your will keep all rights to your work).

Teruo Artistry “Artists Wanted” Official Terms and Conditions

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE.

A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF BEING PUBLISHED. 

  1. Eligibility: The Teruo Artistry “Artists Wanted” campaign is open to anyone age 14 years or older at the time of submission. By submitting, entrants and their parent/legal guardian agree to be bound by these Official Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Teruo Artistry whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of the winners. This campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  2. Period: Submissions will be taken on a rolling basis beginning on February 6, 2008. Submissions will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis until quantity is filled. Teruo Artistry reserves the right to terminate the acceptance of submissions at any time without prior notice.
  3. How To Enter: Send your writing, photography or art to lifeinstereo@teruo.com. By submitting a video and sending the email you agree that Teruo Artistry will have irrevocable license to publish and republish the work (along with your name) in any manner in any media now known or hereafter existing without payment of any kind to you. Teruo Artistry retains the right to publish any submitted work in all present and future media, known or unknown. Entries will not be returned. Entries must be submitted to lifeinstereo@teruo.com.
  4. Judging: Submissions will be judged quality, creativity, insightfulness and how they reflect on the brand and the message of Teruo Artistry.
  5. Entry Information: Entries must be submitted to lifeinstereo@teruo.com for consideration.
  6. Winners: If you are chosen, we will notify you via email.
  7. Conditions: Submission constitutes permission to use the entrant’s name, photograph and other likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade and promotion on behalf of Teruo Artistry without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entrant represents and warrants the submitted video is an original, non-published work that does not infringe the rights to any third parties. Entrant must receive permission from his or her parent/legal guardian prior to entry. By entering, entrant gives to Teruo Artistry the right to publish, repurpose and use in any application it sees fit, the writing(s), photograph(s) and art(s) submitted. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
  8. Limitations of Liability: By submitting, entrant holds harmless the released parties, Sponsors and Teruo Artistry from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, liability, actions or damages of any kind or in connection with: (1) submitting to campaign (2) acceptance of any prize or (3) anything related to the campaign and the awarding of prizes. Any claims relating to this campaign shall be governed by California law without regard to its conflict of law, rules, and any such claim must be heard in California.
