Kanye Listening Party

So ya boy Proph the Teruo "Life Style Director" started the day off htiing up Cinespace with Mathew Knowles and friends to get an up close and personal view of Beyonce's new album or should I say double album. We sat down in the main club area of Cinespace and Mathew Knowles proceeded to share the vision of what is to be Beyonce's latest release. We went through the two videos and the singles first. I do have to admit the "If I Were A Boy" treatment was super enthralling. The Album had bangers by Rodney Jerkens, Ryan Tedder, The Dream, Tricky and Shawn"The Pen" Garret. All who were in the room with us to listen to Beyonce's latest Gems. I wont spoil the story but she deff has some bangers coming soon.

The last leg of the Journey was a private listening party for Kanye's latest musical contribution. Me an my partner in crime JP roll up to an old-school warehouse building to let the all girl valet known as "Valet Of The Dolls" take the whip and us venture in. We all started off mingling in a large room near the entrance and started the adventure with some Cognac on ice. A few minutes after sipping my "Get Right" juice I noticed J-Hova, Will I Am, Michael Rappaport,Most Deff and Q-Tip slide in right behind me. I slowly realized this event was the only place to be in the world of Hip-Hop music on Tuesday October 15 2008. We all then were guided into a dark room filled with 75 bodies standing perfectly still in the center of the room. Security made sure that we stopped moving after making a perfect square in the center of the building. There was a moment of silence before a giant flash of light revealed that the 75 shapes in the dark were actually completely naked models with only pumps in between them and the cement floor of the warehouse. The music started in like thunder and it was 3 banging tracks into it when I realized what Kanye had done. He had gotten the who's who of music industry in L.A. and captivated them enough to experience the music in a way only Kanye could. This was an Andy Warhal type art and music exhibition that I will never forget. I must say the album seems to be a bit more T-Painish then Kanye to me though. All in all this was an experience and there are few people in the music business today that go to the lengths that Kanye does to be different. Another notch in the belt of my quest to experience creativity and bring Teruo to the forefront of what is "Always Creating".

Teruo Launches in Brazil

We know the custom futbol players have of trading jerseys after a game. It's a sign of respect and goodwill.

Teruo's own Saul Good spent a couple weeks in a futbol country, Brazil, recently and met a lot of great people and saw some beautiful places (and women). It was on the island of Morro de Sao Paulo where Saul met a bunch of amazing Brazilian people and drew the interest of one local dude who, with what little English he knew, couldn't stop complimenting Saul's black on black Teruo hat. While sharing a special cigarette, Saul offered to give the hat to the local, who in turn offered to give Saul his Bahia, Brazil futbol jersey. The two exchanged handshakes and hugs and, with the black on black fitted on his head, the local walked away down the beach. Saul wondered if he would ever see him again.

Here are two photos, the first when Saul gave the hat, the second when they met again that night. The local had brought the jersey out to the bar with him, and was waiting there to find Saul.

The exchange of personal gifts amongst strangers. The ultimate sign of goodwill and respect, and a fitting way for Teruo to officially land in Brazil.

Teruo Takes Over The Minna Gallery

Yeah, we know the vibe at Minna is always electric. We know some of the coolest cats in the Bay gather there to chop game, show love and celebrate expression. That's why Teruo head artist TTW rolled through the Suite Jesus event on Sept. 27 presented by ArtNowSF. TTW showed off his paintings, giclees and did a live presentation of his custom clothing painting process.

Special thanks to Jerry Rice for rolling through and getting a photo w/ our own Joe T. And thanks to all other 300+ for sharing the experience with us. We'll see you all on Oct. 11 @ Club Six.
