Keys to the soul

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Proph in the BLDG! Rocking a custom Japanese painted Teruo trucker at the private Alicia Keys concert. Bellavardo studios was the most intimate setting for an evening with the queen of soul Alicia Keys. With the industry only invite jumpin off kept the capacity to the low hundred or so. Alicia’s back up singer stoll the show early ya dig. He killed it coming out to the “Boys Of Summer” . Then about ten feet in front of me the blessed one on the Keys came out and ripped it from her classics to the new joints. She was so powerful and so close you could feel the power and energy from her heartfelt lyrics coupled with the soul of a past life on the piano. All in all Teruo Artistry’ Proph was in aww of one of our times most gifted artist. Shout out to Jay P-Eazy for a dope time.

Operation Trojan Horse was in full effect. Ya boy Proph, Grown Mo, Key and Six Reasons invaded the KIIS FM building yesterday. We bum rushed JP’s(The Peeps) office and cracked some jokes then moved on to Six, who was wearing a crispy "Primary Music" Teruo print, doing an interview with JOJO about his new release “Tat2’d Up” (If you ain't knowin' you slackin'). Me, Grown and Key posted up with Fat Daniel and Karli on the block talking about Karli’s new show Karlifornia on MTV. Shout out to Karli and Daniel... them my peeps fo sho. That’s when we ran into Boy Toy Jessie who was rocking some vintage Teruo yadadimean! After that Six decided to show JOJO how to get his WATTS groove on. I got a video of that that I will post up- that shit was mad funny. Shout out to the whole KIIS Staff for breaking the record and showin' love. We then bounced out for a celebration meal at Taco Bell ya dig. Soft Taco’s curtesy of Grown Mo’s black Amex. lol Holla!

American Gangster!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I could have been anywhere in the world last night but I was with the GOD MC. Ya boy Proph was poppin' his collar behind the velvet ropes at the Jay-Z “American Gangster” Concert at The House Of Blues. This was the only place to be for the who’s who in the music business. I showed up on the scene and noticed the line wrapped half a block down Sunset. Once inside I noticed a star studded crowd in the foundation room from Jamie Foxx to Puffy. The place sold out in the first half our when tickets went on sale, that explains how crazy packed it was. I made my way to the upper VIP level to get ready to see Hova bless the crowd. I got chills when the lights dimmed and “My name is… Hov” set the party off. He blazed through some new joints (Blue Magic, Roc-Boys) then brought Memphis Bleek, Siegel and Freeway for the “Roc La Familia”. From brushing my shoulders off standing next to Puffy to screaming HOVA HOVA on the outro to Encore, this concert was one concert not to miss. It was like watching Jordan playing in his prime. “If I come back like Jordan wearing the 45 it ain't to play games with you/its to aim at you” Jay-Z. This is Proph signin' off from the only place I wanted to be this year screamin' Roca-fella y'all!

Homecoming

We killed it at the 102.7 KIIS FM Homecoming concert. Ya boy Prophet and the rest of the Teruo Artistry crew (Grown Mo, Tim, Murph, Deep H2OZ, Koji) were in the building 4sho. We sold out at our booth at the pep rally. Then me and South Central's finest Grown Mo made our way backstage to the VIP area to bless the likes of Gwen Stefani, Fabolous, Nicole Scherzinger, Lloyd, OneRepublic, Sean Kingston and more with the latest Teruo prints. Peep the pix in the Creations page on the Teruo site!

Big shot out to Kevin, Amy, JP and the entire KIIS family for showin' us love! Get ready for the new designs...

Breaking The Cypher

Teruo Artistry held it down at the Breaking The Cypher show at Ford Ampitheatre. We are always there to support the hip-hop community! The performance was presented by J.U.i.C.E., which stands for Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy, a non-profit Hip-Hop arts after school program that seeks to develop youth leadership, technical skills, creative expression and self-confidence through the artistic elements of Hip-Hop: breakdancing, urban art, deejaying, emceeing/spoken word and music recording. TA held it down, promoted the brand and signed autographs…

Grandstarr

Teruo and ya boy Proph invaded Chinatown for Grandstarr. Koji set the gig up for Teruo, me and Grown Mo. We shut it down and turned it into the New Money Clique show... LOL. My home girl Chalon was in the house with JP reppin' for A Place Called Home. After me and Grown ripped it, an electronically blessed cat by the name of Jeffrey Soulspeak broke down the craziest set with just an MPC. I had to jump up there and get my freestyle on yadididi! We closed up shop after sellin' a few Teruo shirts and CDs... 'til next time Chinatown.

OneRepublic

Got invited to the OneRepublic showcase at the Roxy in Hollywood. I have worked with Ryan Tedder so I knew this dude was insanely talented. Producer, songwriter and performer. Still this was the first time I was seeing him and his band live though. He has a smash hit called "Apologize" that is climbing the charts all over the world. After watching him give 1000 percent on stage to a capacity crowd full of hipsters and industry bosses, I knew this dude was the whole package. Shout out to Ryan Tedder and OneRepublic... much success to ya whole camp!

Three 6 Mafia shoot

My man Dee hit me again and told me they were shootin' Project Pat's "Don't call me, Don't Text me" Ft. Three 6 Mafia. Me and my rider J shot over to the valley and hit up this crazy mansion. I ran into Juicy J and DJ Paul chillin and sippin' on some sizurp. They told me that this Project Pat joint is straight for the ringtone market... that's crazy smart yo. Juicy told they went like triple platinum on that "Stay Fly" tone, he joked about not seeing a check yet tho...LOL. I said what up to the homie Dee and DJ Vlad then bounced out screamin' don't call me don't text me!

2 New Prints

Check out the latest Teruo Artistry prints... Life In Stereo and Soundwriter. Both of these joints have fabric from around the world. The Life In Stereo print features fabric from Bali and Soundwriter has African fabric. Both of these are getting a crazy response. Visit our online store or a store location near you to pick these up!

Rock On!

My boy Dee Sonaram hit me and told me to drop by the video shoot for my dude Montana Da Mac. His joint "Rockman" featuring DJ Unk is going crazy down south. I show up on the scene and it was like an ACDC concert. Motor cycles, Mohawks and Moet. I had to holler at the homie DJ Unk and lace him and his boy with "Guitar Shadow" and "I Am" my two favorite Teruo joints. You can watch us all get heavy metal hyphy in this video.

Peep the pix and the video... Big shot out to DJ Unk, Montana Da Mac and Dee Sonaram for making this happen!

DTP

Me and Jay dipped out to some cutty ass spot in the valley to catch up with the homie Steph Jones a new member of the DTP family for their video shoot of the new single "Celebrity Check". Saw my man Luda on set gave him dap for the Crash movie. The place was another mansion set and it was full of ladies with Vegas style outfits on like whoa... LOL. Got a chance to meet Small World, Chingy and Chaka of the DTP camp before me and Jay disappeared into the night in the Japanese Ferrari.

Live from Del Mar

My girl Kristen got a call to do a private birthday party in Del Mar... some MTV Sweet 16 type of deal. The birthday girl wanted Pitbull and ya boy Prophet to bless the stage at a post prom birthday party. I got the squad together for a Teruo road trip. Me and my dude Bantu (Sour Diesel Director) rolled out first. We hit the suite and popped bottles of Cavali before we even got our room key. The whole hotel knew Bonfire, Trojan Horse and Teruo was in the BLDG! We were running around the hotels with bottles and cigars until sound check. After that I will let the video explain the rest.

Wango Tango

Once again, Teruo Artistry made its presence felt at this year’s KIIS FM sponsored Wango Tango concert. With booths in both the Village and VIP areas, everybody was exposed to the brand new Teruo Artistry 2007 line. The response was amazing. Celebrities and concert goers were attracted to the striking t-shirt designs featuring screenprints, embroidery and fabrics from around the world. For more information and photos, please visit www.teruo.com and www.kiisfm.com.

Big shot out to Baby Bash, Gym Class Heroes and Apollo Ono for the support…

Sour Diesel video shoot

So I hit the Gig on Melrose one night to peep a showcase. I went there and met up with this girl Kristen who I network with on some music ish. She introduces me to this director dude named Ryan Banco Bantu. Long story short, dude is mad cool and was like lets talk biz one of these days. Fast forward... two weeks after I hit him with Sour Diesel off of my album Listen To My Demo we were shooting my first video. Bantu got people from his church to PA and locked in all the equipment and crew. I got my squad together for a 6am wake up call and we grinded for 15hrs of laughing, filming, drinking and just crazy fun - yadididi! Shout out to Bantu and the rest of the crew for making one of my dreams come true ya dig.
